The Seattle Seahawks are preparing to move on without Pro Bowl safety Kam Chancellor in 2015.
"I don't think we're going to have him at all this season," a player told ESPN. "They will just collect his salary until he folds."
This is horrible news for the team and Kam Chancellor fans.
At the moment, his deal currently ranks 16th in salaries among players at his position. For a player who is arguably one of top five secondary players in the NFL, this is a horrible deal for sure.
Should he carry his holdout into the regular season, Chancellor would lose out on $267,647 for every game he misses.
The Seahawks need to adjust his contract or look to move him before this becomes a locker room issue. If this carries over throughout the year, I can't see any situation where he will suit up for Seattle again.
