In college I had a poetry professor who was captivated by Pablo Neruda. I didn't get it at first. I believed his poems about nature and earth were wordy and littered with bizarre images and intense word choices that reminded me of a type of brutal loss I couldn't quite put my finger on.
And to this day I know, no one can love as deeply as Pablo Neruda.
Because sometimes words are just terrible at explaining.
Love isn't always happy and it isn't always good, but it is aways beautiful.
It may flicker or change but love, even after years, can never completely be stamped out.
Life is hard and death is scary, but a life without love will make anyone invite death sooner.
Love doesn't have to be easy and it won't be, but it can be simple. Because loving someone purely is just that; loving someone.
Ache, a word that invokes that very feeling in your chest. A throbbing that just can be rubbed away.
Just reread that. It's breath taking.
Because it's okay to let love overtake you.
Again, just read that over and over and over again.
When you love someone, you spend more time dreaming about their happiness then your own.
