[Author's Note: ***PLEASE READ*** I saw Vingle posted this on their Facebook page and it's been getting a lot of attention there... some not so nice :( It made me really sad to think I could offend people so badly with something I just wrote for fun. :(
Basically, my idea was this – to ask one of my good guy friends about what he thought about various photos of girls hair, and see if it was surprising or interesting at all. But I promise it was PURELY meant as a silly for-fun card, and I don't think you should care AT ALL what boys think of your hair!!! This is just one person's opinion, but guys are all super different so please if he said something bad about your hairstyle, DON'T TAKE IT TO HEART. I've heard guys say the exact opposite of him ;)
AND as I said, who cares what boys think anyway, we should do our hair in such a way that it makes us feel beautiful. Vingle Inspiration page thank you for your support... please don't be offended, I really really didn't mean to hurt anyone.]
"What do guys think about my hair?" They must notice it, right? Does it make them want you more, or does it turn them off?
Well, the first thing to remember is that everyone is different. Every guy has different tastes, and no matter how you like to wear your hair, it's important that you do it for you. Style it in a way that makes you feel good.
But just in case curiosity gets the best of you, check out this sneak peek into the mind of my friend Matt, who I asked about each of these photos of hairstyles, then recorded his thoughts.
"This is the kind of girl I want to bring home to meet the parents. Long hair is sexy AND beautiful. I want to run my fingers through it!"
"That's... kind of intimidating. Wouldn't it just get in the way? I feel like I would get caught in it..."
[Author's Note: That's right, Matt. You SHOULD be intimidated. Girl power!!! Grrrr!!! But seriously, I love super long hair and think it's gorgeous... prettiest hair I've ever seen is my friend Maddy, who grows her hair down to past her butt on a regular basis and then donates it to Locks of Love. And giving back to someone in need? Now THAT's beautiful.]
"For me, this is the perfect hairstyle. It's right in the middle between cute girl and clean-cut professional. It also seems kind of easy to deal with... girls think about those things, right?"
"Gorgeous. I love the confidence it shows, rocking the hair your momma gave you."
"Isn't this what girls do when they're washing their face?"
[Author's Note: I think messy topknots are super cute!!! And I'm sure lots of people agree with me. And... that's actually exactly the hairstyle I'm wearing right now, so. :P]
"I like it. It makes me feel like she's a cool girl, not overly concerned with her appearance or what other people think. This is how I picture it looking after we spent the night together, and wake up all smiley and sleepy the next morning."
"Uh-uh. No way. No one should EVER imitate Snooki."
"I'm not really sure what she was going for here... it seems a little too Founding Fathers to me. Maybe if you're being George Washington for Halloween?"
"This girl seems really chill. She's laid back and easy-going. She'd be fun to go on an adventure with, because I wouldn't have to wait for her to get ready in the morning."
[Author's Note: It's adorable how boys think even simple hairstyles take no effort... sigh.]
"Sporty and sexy. There's something about a high ponytail that immediately makes me want to know more about her."
"Eh. It kind of looks like she didn't try."
[Author's Note: Why should we have to try?? I love Cara, I think she looks awesome. And my hair is in a low ponytail like... 90% of the time. So. Suck it, Matt :P]
"It makes her look young, but not in a bad way. It's like... sweet. And innocent."
"I think this style looks good on pretty much everybody. It's in now, right? It shows she's in style, without being too intense about it."
"Whoa. She looks intense. This is the woman I'm worried about fighting for my promotion."
[Author's Note: Yeah!! You should be worried!!! Watch out male-dominated business world, because powerful ladies are COMING FOR YOU.]
"I really don't like bangs. They look good on almost no one, and make you look like a kid. I don't want to date a 12-year-old!"
[Author's Note: I literally hit him after he said this, because he knows I had bangs for most of last year... Listen ladies, bangs can look super cute, and if you like them, you should totally get them!! I loved mine (even though they weren't perfect for my face shape...) and actually tons of people (both male and female) complimented me on them. I got the 'You look like Zooey Deschanel!' a lot. And because I felt comfortable and cute in them, that made me feel confident! :) ]
"Absolutely! It makes me want to take her out to a classy dinner."
[Author's Note: After that bangs comment, there's no way in hell I'm going to dinner with you Matt. Sorry not sorry. :P]
[Author's Note: I saw on Facebook a lot of people were asking about other styles, so I added them here. Scroll through the photos above. Again, please remember this is just ONE guys' opinion, and that no one's opinion but yours matters anyway!!!]
"Is she a pop star?! Haha. But seriously, this hair says, 'I'm different.' She's not afraid to be in the spotlight. She might be artistic, too."
"It really shows her personality. She's an individual, she's creative, and doesn't care what other people think."
"I like dreads. She looks deep and independent."
"She must be really diligent. It looks like this hair takes a lot of work."
"She looks like P!nk! I like it. Fierce."

Thanks for reading – please keep in mind it's only one guy's opinion, and he's often within slapping range of me, so I can deliver any messages you might want to send. ;) But on a more serious note, no offense meant; I hope you will not take away any negative messages from this post.
Sorry guys, but we do our hair for US, not for you!!
