The Duchess of Cambridge was spotted wearing a tiara which is the third time in her reign as the princess of the British Royal Throne. British and American media sources alike are completely obsessed since it's such a rarity to see a royal in today's standards wear any sort of crown. Middleton arrived in a gorgeous Bentley to the Buckingham Palace for her first state dinner to honor the president of China, Xi Jinping, and his wife, Peng Liyuan.
She dawned a gorgeous red Jenny Packham gown and her shiny tiara. The Lotus Flower tiara is made up of diamonds and pearls, one of Queen Elizabeth's personal favorites that she gifted Middleton. In Britain, Middleton is known as the "people's princess" since it is widely known that she is a commoner and she is not one to flash her royal new lifestyle. The last time the media spotted Middleton with a tiara was in December of 2013 and then during her wedding in 2011.
It's actually no surprise that Middleton wore the color red to her state dinner. For the Chinese, red is a symbolic color representing good fortune. And since she was meeting with the head of one of the most powerful nations in the eastern world, of course it was fitting for the princess of England and future Queen to show that she still reigned supreme among the monarchy.
