NYC Will Not Survive The Zombie Apocalypse.

Thinking about moving to the Big Apple any time soon? Well, you'd better not hope there's a zombie apocalypse!

New York City has the lowest possible chance of surviving a widespread zombie attack.

The safest? Boston, Massachusetts - based on Bostonians' ability to fight, contain, find a cure for, and outlast an epidemic with plenty of food source. (Probably also because it's far too windy and cold for any zombie to want to stalk the streets while looking for fresh brains, but that's just my opinion.)

The website even created a Zombie Apocalypse Index (shown above) that shows the varying degrees of safety various regions of the country can expect. They ranked these cities based on what they've called 'essential elements of zombie apocalypse survival' - including ability to fight, the likelihood they'd be able to contain the infected, the medical aptitude required to research a cure for the virus, and amount of sustainable food they'd need to outlast the apocalypse.

According to the Zombie Apocalypse Index, here are the top 10 best and worst zombie apocalypse cities:

1. Boston, Massachusetts

2. Salt Lake City, Utah

3. Columbus, Ohio

4. Baltimore, Maryland
