Oprah Defends The Kardashians Following Rebel Wilson's Shade

You get a compliment! You get a compliment! Everyone gets a compliment!

Oprah Winfrey is standing her ground and reminding the world just how relevant the Kardashians are. In the past few weeks, many celebrities have taken direct jabs at the Kardashians and Jenner girls mocking their notoriety in the celebrity world. From Amy Schumer publicly mocking Khloé Kardashian in not one but two stand up comedy specials to the most recent dig coming from comedian Rebel Wilson, it's been a rough publicity week for the Kardashians.

On KIIS FM's Kyle and Jackie O Show in Australia on Monday, Nov. 9, Winfrey defended the Kardashians making sure it was very clear that the Kardashians work hard. The hit reality show, Keeping Up With The Kardashians, has just renewed for another season and their fan base is only getting larger. Arguably, they are the most famous family in the world with Kim Kardashian tied with Taylor Swift as the most famous American celebrity on social media.

Winfrey, 61, explained to the radio show, "To really create a reality series that looks like something’s actually happening, it means you have to be on all the time."

However, her kind words did not stop there, "I went to film them as a family and I couldn’t believe how hard they worked. We were there for seven hours and they were gonna tape another seven hours after I left. No matter who you are, that is work."

As mentioned above, Winfrey's comments come after Rebel Wilson publicly refused to present an award with Kylie and Kendall Jenner at the MTV Music Awards this upcoming August. Wilson stated, "They’re famous for no talent. I said I’d do it myself. What they stand for is totally against what I stand for," Wilson, 35, told the same radio hosts on Nov. 4.

“They seem a bit superficial and their careers aren’t really based on talent. I know they’re super popular, but I’m all about personality and working hard to get to where I am. How Kim Kardashian got famous from the sex tape and I just went to acting school and worked really hard. . ."

All in all, Winfrey stands by the reality stars recognizing the preconceived notions of the haters, "I interviewed the Kardashians two years ago and I can’t believe how hard they work. People don’t understand that, people think, Oh, if a television camera’s just following you, then that’s just easy."
