So I know this isn't about anything really related to what I tagged for it. But I need to talk about something. Suicide. Suicide isn't funny. It's not a joke. People are struggling with this all over the world; some of them could even be your neighbor, your friend, a coworker, a sibling. It's not always obvious. People can smile, laugh, and fake the happiness just to hide it. Suicide isn't something to take lightly, and I'm so tired of hearing the jokes people make. "Go kill yourself!" I hear it more often then I expected I would, being in a high school setting and all. Words hurt, actions hurt, things left unsaid hurt. I know this for a fact. I've seen it, just recently, in fact. People don't just do this to for attention, they commit suicide because they want an escape. Does that mean I think it's all right? No, I don't. I don't want to see people I care for hurting like this, nor do I want to see a stranger hurting like this. In the end, it's a cruel and selfish act. But that doesn't mean you shun someone for those thoughts! People are under pressure all over the world, people want an escape. Some find it in religion, some in drugs, alcohol, self-harm, suicide, etc. I believe in God; that He can fix everything. He is almighty, powerful, and the answer to everything. I'm not saying you have to become a Christian just to help someone who's suicidal, I'm saying that Jesus teaches us to love. That's what being a Christian is all about. Generally, the term "love" is overused, but you would never understand just how much it means to someone who's struggling that someone is there for them, even if it's as simple as to listen. Love everyone, because you never know what someone is going through behind the smile they have. Everyone has scars, and no one deserves to feel this way, even people who you may think do. I don't believe anyone is beyond help, through God's grace and love. I, personally, wish I could help everyone, but I can't. Sometimes, even when you give it your all, you lose. But I hope and pray that I can witness to people God's love, because it's not fair what some people are going through. Sometimes it's beyond their control, this is why even something as small as a smile, can change someone's life.
