DIY geometric jewelry tray

Brit + Co

For this project, you will need:

-- Air-dry clay

-- Acrylic paint (make sure it works on clay)

-- Rolling pin

-- Knife

-- Paint brush

-- Masking tape or painter's tape

-- Hot-glue gun and glue sticks

You can find these items at a craft store.

Form the clay shapes

Use the knife to cut the blocks of clay into geometric shapes, as shown in the picture. Then, roll out another piece of clay for the tray. To form the tray, turn up the sides of the of the piece of the clay. Allow the clay to dry completely.

Paint the clay

Place the masking tape or painter's tape at a diagonal on the tray, as shown in the picture. Also, place tape on the bottom of the geometric shapes. Then, use the paintbrush to paint the acrylic paint on the shapes and the edge of the tray. Let the paint dry completely. Then, use the hot-glue gun and glue sticks to attach the geometric shapes to the tray. Use caution when using a hot-glue gun!

Put your favorite pieces of jewelry on the tray and enjoy!
