Sky Movies' latest promo for the Star Wars saga being available on their channel/on demand service puts together moments from all of the existing Star Wars movies into a thirty second clip. And I know what you're thinking, "even the prequels! gross, yucky!" but it honestly made me feel more excited about them than I've been in a long time.
Man, that's something I thought I'd never say. I don't know what's happening to me.
There's a lot to like about these 30 seconds and I'll try my best to break it down. The first thing I absolutely loved about this promo is the art style they chose. It spans all 6 movies, so there isn't much of a disconnect between the movies that were made in the 2000s and the movies that were made in the 1970s.
I also like how they picked certain lines of dialogue that encapsulate the movie the promo is covering at that given moment. There's something extremely nostalgic about all of this and somehow they applied that same sense of wonder and that idea of the "good ol' days" to the prequel movies.
I don't plan on watching those again because I don't know if I can deal with three movies about trade negotiations. Maybe I can find one a cut of the prequel trilogy that makes it only an hour and a half in length. That might be a better idea. Anyway, I hope you liked this promo as much as I did. Now I gotta go scour the Internet for this edit of the prequel movies.
