Hey my loves! So I wanted to write 3 things I love about being Latina. I would love for you guys to do the challenge too!
So here it is...
1) THE FREAKING FOOD
Oh god there's nothing like Latin food. When I moved to a new city for college, I'd say one of the biggest struggles I had was the lack of Latin American food. Thankfully, I learned how to cook so it made it easier for me to adjust. As much as I love a burger or a nice piece of steak, Puerto Rican food will always run through my veins!
2) The Ability To Connect With Other U.S.-based Latinos
No matter if someone's family is from Nicaragua, Cuba, or Mexico, Latin Americans have a unique and strong bond. Especially when were somewhere that doesn't have many Latinos in the first place. Although the culture can be very different from one country to the next in Latin America, there are plenty similarities to bond over.
3) Strong Family Ties
Family is so important, and that's what I love most about being Latina. I love that with every holiday, family is expected to be home. In addition that, we really are a unit. We love and fight for each other. And not matter how many times we might get upset with each other, we remember how important family is.
