Remember when that movie Avatar came out and everyone had this weird post-Avatar depression? Like, for some reason people kept saying that they hated their real lives because nothing was as vibrant or beautiful as computer generated images?
Well, that's happening again. But not to the American public or people who are re-watching Avatar. It's only happening to me after watching what this mod does to the PC version of Star Wars: Battlefront.
I tried my best to run this in 4K but my little baby laptop monitor couldn't handle it. And I guess that was alright by me. As soon as I tried, my computer stuttered a little bit and coughed but the one image I saw really floored me. Even in 1080p 60 frames-per-second, it looks amazing.
It made me wish that I had a computer that could actually run the mod in 4K because I want to feel like I'm actually in the game. Even watching this video full-screen is something that blew my mind. I must have watched it 3 or 4 times before finally deciding to share with all of my Vingle buds.
And speaking of watching it multiple times. My favorite moment in the video is when there's some action from the cockpit of a tie-fighter. This segment made me feel like I was watching a movie instead of gameplay from the game. It looked like an epic battle and it honestly got me even more excited for Star Wars: The Force Awakens (WHICH IS COMING OUT NEXT WEEK).
But once the video ended, I found myself at a loss. Nothing made sense and living in the real world wasn't actually exciting. I became a little bit of a jerk and knocked over a cup of water on the desk and my owner got pretty mad at me. Wait, that's not right, that was the time I turned into a cat.
Anyway, mods like this really make me excited for what the future of video games might look like. Hopefully you sat through all 3-and-a-half minutes of the video to experience the glory that is the Real Life Mod.
