Saturday Night Football is back, and I'm @jeff4122 "The Sports Guru" ready to make my pick for this game between the Jets and the Cowboys!
The Jets have played like one of the league's top teams over the past few weeks and have won three in a row in convincing fashion.
Their QB Ryan Fitzpatrick has set his career high in passing TDs with 29 and WRs Eric Decker and Brandon Marshall have been absolutely tearing it up. Marshall in particular has been amazing - the veteran has a TD in 6 consecutive games.
The success of the passing game has opened up a lot of room for RBs Chris Ivory and Bilal Powell. Ivory is a workhorse and does some amazing work inside the tackles, while Powell is great catching passes and has some real quickness.
The Jets' defense sacked Marcus Mariota 5 times last week in the big win against Tennessee and Mohammad Wilkerson & Co. are playing great, giving the Jets real opportunities to win games.
All in all, I love the way the Jets have been playing recently.
Dallas, on the other hand, continues to struggle.
Backup QB Matt Cassel is just plain bad and the loss of Tony Romo has crippled this team. They are playing in such a week division, but they are completely failing to take advantage. At 4-9 their playoff hopes are over.
They have totally ignored All Star WR Dez Bryant in the past few weeks and I can't figure it out. Cassel needs to find a way to get the ball in the hands of one of the best playmakers in the league. Defensively, this team is not good enough to keep the offense in the game if they can't put up any points.
It's a team in shambles.
Jets take it, 24-13.
What do you think? Can the 'Boys bounce back or do the Jets wipe them away?
