I'm always looking for easy, accessible solutions for things I would normally spend a fortune on. I love a great massage or facial, but I'm sure the ladies here can sympathize with the outrageous costs at times. So......one REALLY easy and CHEAP way to pamper your face, and even your sinuses in winter, is probably sitting right in your cupboard. Tea! :) And I'm not talking about drinking it. You don't need a fancy machine or steamer, our pay someone $80-$150 to truly pamper your skin. This is as simple and effective as it gets. Choose a tea that fits your goal. Green tea is always a nice antioxidant base. If you are stuffed up, add peppermint. If you are breaking out, add a natural astringent with lemon tea. If you need a little calming for your skin and soul, add chamomile. SO easy to customize and you probably have all the ingredients in your kitchen. Boil some water on the stove, pour into a large mixing bowl. Wait a few minutes till the water is not too hot but still steaming, and add tea. I usually break two bags open and mix myself. Make sure you have already cleansed your face with your normal wash. You are ready! Take a large towel and make a tent over your head and hold your face about 9 inches from the tea bowl. Try to cover so not much steam escapes. You will likely want to close your eyes just so the steam doesn't irritate. Do this for a good 10-15 minutes, and breathe deep. You'll be amazed at how great it makes you feel! Your pores will be nice and open after, and ready for deep cleaning if needed. If not, a perfect time to moisturize for ideal absorption. Enjoy!!! Try your own combinations!
