Lebron James came back home to Cleveland a year ago to make a push to bring a championship back to Ohio.
Upon his arrival, the team made a couple huge moves to prepare the team for "win now" mode. The biggest move was trading their newly drafted #1 pick Andrew Wiggins to the Timberwolves for perennial all-star Kevin Love.
While the Cavs didn't win a championship last year, they made a push to the NBA Finals, which is a huge team improvement in one year. Recently Lebron was asked if the Cavs were pleased a year later with the results of the trade, and he said they were very happy with the results.
we’re happy with having Kev and I know they’re happy with having Wiggins -- so, that’s all that matters," said James.
Wiggins is enjoying a solid sophomore season, averaging 20.1 points, but his averages in rebounds, assists, steals, blocks and his percentages from the field overall, 3-point line and free throw line have all dropped from his rookie campaign. Love’s averages this season -- 16.2 points, 10.6 rebounds, 2.4 assists -- are pretty much on par with his first year in Cleveland.
