Part 1Part 2Part 3Part 4Part 5Part 6
“Do you expect me to run every time I see you?”
“No, I expect you to tell me what I did wrong. So tell me, did I mess up? Or is it that you lost your love for me?”
“What is it? You know Jungkook, is a lot better than you. He actually respects me, he-”
“STOP! Don't say anything else! Please!”
“I'm just saying the truth, his kisses, his everythi-”
“Stop! Stop! Stop! Stop!”
Hoseok sat up abruptly and was now wide awake after his dream. He looked hesitantly to his right, then to his left. He looked down and saw Jimin there asleep. Hoseok’s face scrunched up. He doesn't remember sleeping with Jimin.
He looked away and turned around, his feet touching the cold floor. His body was still shaking, and he didn't know whether it was because of the sudden cold air from the AC or if it was because of his dream. He stood up, and made his way to the restroom.
In the restroom, Hoseok washed his face and then looked at himself in the mirror. He didn't recognize himself anymore. It was like what Namjoon told him the other night.
“It's like your body is here, but you, yourself, aren't. You do things with fake emotions nowadays.”
Maybe Namjoon is right, but then again, he still feels himself, even if he doesn't recognize himself anymore. A phone started ringing, Hoseok ran towards the source of the sound and found his phone on the couch.
“Hello?” he spoke.
“Who is this!? Why do you keep calling me!?” Hoseok threw his phone at the floor and it shattered into little pieces.
Hoseok couldn't take it anymore, and he burst into tears. He ran out of the dorm and ran, he didn't look back. He didn't know why he was running, all he knew, was that he needed to get out of that place. He knew only one place to go to. A friend of his lived close by, and he knew she would take him in for the night. He changed courses and ran towards her place. He felt that if he stopped, he would get hurt. It was as if someone or something was chasing after him and he couldn't stop running. Even after his legs screamed for him to stop or slow down. He wasn't paying attention and tripped over a rock. He landed hard on the pavement and he kept on crying.
“Hoseok?” he heard.
He looked up and saw Michelle [Yes, I decided to put myself in the story cause I can. e.e] standing there with trash bags. She immediately put them in the trash bin and ran back to the sobbing Hoseok. She extended her hand out to him, he looked up at her and took her offered hand. She placed his right arm over her shoulder and took him inside to her room. She sat him down on her bed and she walked over to one of the cabinets and got out a first aid kit.
Hoseok has calmed down, but tears were still visibly falling.
“What happened to you?” she said after she finished cleaning up his cuts. She embraced him and he started crying more.
“I feel like I'm going to hurt the person I love the most. I had a nightmare today, it scared me to the point where I ran out of the dorm. This was the only place I could think of. Michelle, I'm really scared. What if I do hurt him?”
Michelle looked at him and she held his hands, “As mean as it sounds, we're meant to hurt the people we love. You know why? We're human. Sometimes we just hurt them in trying to change ourselves to be more liked by them. Other times, it's accidental when we don't know what we're doing. Then there are times where it's on purpose. Is he hurting you?”
Hoseok looked at her and he thought hard. Is Jimin really hurting Hoseok? Michelle took Hoseoks signs as in he didn't know.
“Why exactly are you here? I know you're here for a different reason.” she looked at him as his eyes widened.
Why do people call you crazy?" He asked her.
She smiled her usual bright smile the one that would assure people that everything was going to be alright.
"Look up at the ceiling, What do you see?" she asked.
Hoseok looked up questioningly, "The pale color of the ceiling?"
"When I look at the ceiling I see that cobweb at the corner, and that little black spot everyone fails to notice. I notice things most people don't, and when that happens people are afraid. Because I'm different, they tend to look at me with fear covered eyes. They come up with theories that I'll hurt them, I can see why. I am after all, a murderer. I don't murder people oh no. I murder what people call... sanity. While everyone is asleep, I'm awake. While they walk with umbrellas on a rainy day, I stand there smiling looking up. Like that one quote... 'Speak a little truth and the whole world goes mad' at least that's how I think it goes. With me, I speak of what I see and the whole world grows fearful. I'm different from most people as you can see, but that doesn't mean there aren't others as me. Now the question is.. do I think I'm crazy? The answer is quite easy. I'm not crazy, just insane."
"Isn't that the same thing?" He asked her.
"No not really, being crazy is like you think you know the world. Being insane, means you know the world. At least that's what I think. I'm a bit insane so don't take my word for anything, but hopefully it helps with something."
Hoseok smiled at her and she smiled back.
“Can I sleep with you tonight?” he asked her, unsure of her response.
“Of course you can. Anything for someone like me.” she smiled leaving him shocked.
“What if I'm not like you?” he asked as she walked towards the light switch.
“Only one can dream” was all she said as the lights went out.
So I was laughing for like 5 minutes because when I went back to plug in the links for the previous parts of the story I noticed that I titled two different chapters; [Jimin & Jungkook]. I think I was half asleep when I posted those two or something.
I fixed them though, so they're great now!
