A HUMAN'S PERSPECTIVE ON VALENTINES DAY

I'm an optimist. No way around it. Some people like that about me, and some people hate it. But for a holiday like Valentine's Day, it basically means I've never really been all that bitter about it. Even as a single person, I celebrated it as a day to look forward to the happy, fulfilling romance I'm sure would be in my life someday.
But I know many people don't feel that way. Valentines Day can feel more like a cruel reminder that you're still alone, even though you don't want to be. Or that your romance doesn't fulfill you the way you want it to.
when you're single, all you see are happy couples; when you're in a relationship, all you see are happy singles.
I'd like to change all that. Rather than being dissatisfied, I think it would make life infinitely better if we could accept where we are and who we're surrounded by. Make peace with your past, and be hopeful for the future. What you're looking for will find you.
This Valentines Day, celebrate the love that's already in your life. There's a whole family of people right here on Vingle that bring a ton of love into my life. ๐ There are your family, your friends... so many people who care about you. Forget what's "missing." You have everything you need right here.
