Lily sighed as she punched in her card. She was late for work again. After getting home late from her night job she literally fell out on the couch out of exhaustion. It was a rough night where tips were sparse. And of course she had overslept.
Lily yawned as she tied her apron around her waist. She looked around for her pad and pencil hoping that her boss hadn't noticed her absence.
"Ahhh.....here we go." Lily murmured as she picked the items up. She did a victory dance as she turned to get to work before her boss could catch her.
"Well, well, well look who decided to show up?"
Lily stopped mid-dance smacking herself in her head. Seriously, she couldn't get a break!!
"Uhhh....I can explain. I had a late night and I overslept. It won't happen again sir." Lily knew that was a lie and her boss knew it too.
"If I had a nickel for every time you made that promise we would both be millionaires. You're on thin ice Lily. And I know you need this job." Her boss waved her off. "Now get out of my sight. You have customers to serve."
Lily hung her head as she apologized once more hurrying past her boss before he could change his mind. As much as she didn't like this job her boss was right. She did need this job.
Lily wrapped a stray hair behind her ear as she exited the back room of the cafe. She was glad that today were one of their slow mornings as she spotted a stylish man that appeared to be the most frustrated. She hurried over to him hoping that he wouldn't leave a bad review to her boss. That was the last thing she needed.
As she got closer she realized the guy was actually really handsome. His black hair was styled perfectly to the side and he wore a frown as he drummed his fingers across the table.
As much as Lily wanted to just stare at the man she needed to take priority. "Sorry for such the long wait sir. What can I get for you?"
The man didn't even bother to look at Lily as he looked over his nails nonchalantly answering with a quiet voice. "Hmmmm....do you know who I am?"
Lily stared at the man with a curious expression. The man was beautiful to say the least and she couldn't deny that the guy reminded her of someone. But she didn't have the energy to play games with this guy no matter who he was.
"Am I supposed to?"
The guy smirked at her. "I guess you don't get around much. I wouldn't expect an ordinary waitress to know much."
Lily gripped her pen as she cocked her head at the man. Who did this guy think he is? The last thing she needed now was another rude customer. And with her temper she needed to be careful here. Really careful. Which she rarely was.
"Look. I'm just here to do my job. Not to play 20 questions. If you don't want you order taken then I can just go." Lily turned to go but was grabbed by an arm.
"Hold up. Are you sure you don't know who I am?" The man stared right into Lily's matching brown eyes.
Then it hit her. And suddenly Lily felt like the stupidest person in the world. "You're...G-Dragon."
"I'm fine if you want to fangirl. I'm used to it." Jiyong exclaimed with a smug expression.
Lily scoffed. "So you think just because I know you that I'm automatically a fan? You egotistical son of a-"
Jiyong held up a finger in silence. "Hold that thought." He answered with his phone with a curt hello.
Lily couldn't believe that she was even still here. If her boss saw her like this with a customer he would flip out and she would have one less job. She look at the man who was for some reason staring at her.
"Yeah I know. I know. In fact I just found somebody for the job." Jiyong gave Lily a smile that made her face heat up. "Mhm. I'll be there in a sec. See ya." He hung up the phone and turned to Lily.
"Seems like its your lucky day. You have been scouted by G-Dragon himself to be Big Bang's next secretary." He smiled really wide as if he just offered Lily a pot of gold.
Lily laughed as she shook her head and turned to walk away. "You really are something. If you'll excuse me I have a real job to get to."
Jiyong smile was permanent. "Don't worry you'll love it. And of course you'll be payed handsomely. More than you could every get here."
Lily stopped completely rigid. Sure this guy was a total jerk but how hard would it be to manage a few guys. They all couldn't be egotistical like their leader.....could they?
Lily lifted her hand to her chest grabbing her necklace. It was given to her by her grandfather, the only family that she ever knew. He was the one who took care of her and raised her. He was Lily's everything. But now he was in the hospital stricken with a mystery disease that had left him paralyzed. It wasn't long before he lost his job and now Lily had to work two jobs just to pay for his medical expenses but even now they were barely staying afloat. So if she had to deal with a jerk like this for her grandfather's well being then her decision was a no brainier.
The legendary G-Dragon smirked. "So what were you saying?"
