One key thing about Korean beauty is that looking youthful and natural is a must. Korean beauty put cushion foundation on the market. These type of products help you achieve a natural dewy look. Many of our Kpop artists have been seen with dewy radiant skin. Iope is a well known brand. The only drawbacks is if you have a deeper complexion you may have trouble with finding a shade to match you. You can always try L'Oréal Cushion Foundation or Lancôme.
Usually with American beauty you will see the arched eyebrow. The straight eyebrow is a look that many Kpop stars will rock. In the next slide is a video to help you achieve this look.
Below are step by step instructions
1. Using a brush, cover the ends of your eyebrows from the arch downwards with a thin layer of glue. Wait to dry. 2. Apply concealer over the glue to cover the hairs. 3. Blend. 4. Draw in the rest of the hair with an eyebrow powder or pencil. I'm using Essence's Eyebrow Stylist Set in Brunette. Blend concealer as much as possible. (Buzzfeed, 2014)
Now we have heard of cat eyes. Well in Korean beauty you will see people also rocking the puppy eyeliner look. With the cat eye look you would flick ur line upward versus with the puppy look you would draw your line downward. This simple difference will help you achieve a more doll like eye look.
The Gradient Lip
This is definitely a Korean beauty trend. You can play with different colors to help you a achieve a natural look or a bold look. Usually, pinks and red will produce a natural look. Blues and purples will give you a more attention grabbing look. 1. Apply skin toned concealer or foundation over your lips. 2. Using a brush, apply a pink to the centre of the lips and blend outwards.
