Pairing: Reader x Jungkook

Summary: Love bites? Like hell it does.
It was a stupid idea to go the party anyway. I hadn’t wanted to go, but I hadn’t made any friends a whole month into semester, so I figured what the hell? Might as well go see the lost causes I would have to waste three years of my life with.
I wore a cute red dress with matching red heels, because everything else I owned was practically trash- I still had to move my entire wardrobe here as I survived on the same five outfits every week.
I had hardly gone to any lectures, so I had no idea of anything. My timetable, the rooms, my lecturers. I just couldn’t be bothered with it all. I didn’t even have a room-mate, which was a plus.
In fact the only reason I knew about it was because someone had put up ridiculous gauzy posters all over the dorms, so I couldn’t miss them as I went out to do the shopping.
The posters had depicted people in suits and dresses, so I guess I looked th part at least.
The dress and heels were on. Make-up done. Hair done. I stared in the mirror. I looked so different, unlike my usual trampy self. It was good that I looked semi-presentable. Maybe someone would talk to me.
I grabbed all the essentials and with one last look at myself, I left. Let the fun commence, I thought dryly.
Jungkook stared as Namjoon threw the body on the floor in front of him. “Quite the catch”, the older boy chuckled. “Drink up Jungkook, we’ve got a party to go to.”
A low growl emanated from Jungkook’s chest. He hated the way the hyungs all took the piss. Yes, he hadn’t caught a human yet, when the others caught on a daily basis.
But that was because nobody’s blood seemed right. They were too sickeningly sweet or too metallic. But Jungkook took their shit for now, feeding on whatever they would leave for him- and only as much as he needed to survive.
He was the most recent amongst them to turn and was still adjusting to the heightened senses, the need for blood, the animalistic tendencies.
Technically, he was the only one invited to the party, but Namjoon was the only one who had fed today, and the rest where hungry. What better place to find food than a party?
They would have to share, which was annoying, because if too many people were reported injured or missing at once, suspicions would rise. No one ever went missing thought, because as soon as the vampire left them, they would forget the feeding experience- unless they were turned.
But after Jungkook, the boys hadn’t turned anyone. They weren’t in love, god forbid, and they didn’t have any other friends that they liked enough to be willing to spend eternity with.
Jungkook was hoping to get lucky tonight. He jut wanted to find someone who had blood that he actually liked.
He was still grimacing from the taste of Namjoon’s catch as he adjusted his suit jacket.
“Let’s go!” He heard Jin shout from the door. He sighed as he followed Namjoon out, deep down, expecting a night full of disappointment.
As expected the party was shit. There was a constant buzz of conversation, and the occasional light laughter, but no one I saw was someone I would think would make a good friend.
I smiled at a few people, but wasn’t surprised at the few confused or surprised glances I got. Hardly anyone here recognised me, let alone knew me.
I sat down, already feeling drained from the effort I’d made to get ready and get to this stupid event. And I was only twenty minutes in.
I felt a pair of eyes on me as I stared at my now empty cup, wanting more of whatever the hell was in there. I looked up, and was met my a pair of curious eyes.
It was a boy, about my age, probably on my course. He, like all the other boys, was in a suit. But there was something about him, and the group of boys he was stood with. Something different.
Apart from the fact that he was absolutely stunning...there was something else that I couldn’t put my finger on.
After not breaking eye-contact for about 30 seconds, I swear I saw his eyes flash red. Honestly- and I wasn’t even drunk yet. I gasped and looked back down. Probably a trick of the light.
Jungkook smirked as she turned away. His eyes must have done that thing tey do when he got excited, mad or hungry.
She’s probably telling herself she’s seeing things.
He looked away to try and focus on his hyungs, but smiled to himself when he heard her heart rate increase. He could feel her eyes at the back of his head.
And she smelled absolutely delicious. The blood, coursing through her veins, was what Jungkook wanted- what he needed.
And it’s what he would get.
He told them he’d be back and made his way over to her. May as well get to know my dinner.
Not like this party’s gonna get any better.
I stared as the boy came to sit down next to me. I smiled at him awkwardly and looked away.
“What’s your name?”
His voice was silky smooth, and quite deep. However, I internally frowned at how forward he was.
“Y/n. Yours?” I smiled regardless. I hated making a bad impression.
“Jungkook. Are you on the course y/n?”
I liked the way he said my name. I nodded and smiled. “Yup. I just never turn up to lectures.”
He laughed lightly. “Don’t blame you.”
We chatted about generic things for about half an hour, in which I got to know him a little bit- and like him a lot.
He was sweet, and knew all the right things to say.
“Going outside for some fresh air, it’s so stuffy in here”, he said, pulling a cute sad face. “Come with?” He invited.
I smiled and nodded. “Sure.” Not like I had anything better to do.
Once outside, I shivered slightly. It wasn’t cold, but the quite eeriness, and the darkness combined were a pretty creepy combo.
Just as well I wasn’t on my own.
It was quite as we walked along, but it was a comfortable silence. Well, comfortable until Jungkook spoke.
“So delicious...” I heard him whisper. I slowed, but continued walking.
“What?” I thought I might have heard him wrong, but sadly not.
“You smell amazing”, he replied. His voice had gone unnaturally raspy. I frowned. The cheap ass perfume I had used was anything but nice . Maybe he was being polite?
“Right...anyway, we should get back, Jungkook, we’ve been gone ages.” I was slightly disappointed that he wasn’t as talkative as when we were inside. I was hoping to get to know him a bit better.
I turned around and to my shock he was already stood there, facing me.
“W-what the f..” I spluttered. He was right in front of me, so how the hell had he got behind me so quick?
And than I saw it again. His eyes. I hadn’t imagined it.
What the hell is happening?
Jungkook stood there enjoying the confused look on her face.
Her shallow breathing, the sound of her heart pumping like mad, the confusion mixed with terror- it was all driving him insane.
Humans usually were fixated to the spot in horror, making their job easier. Strangely, she could still move. She was still scared, but this wasn’t the usual reaction. No fainting, no screaming- just standing there, and staring.
He smiled internally, as he felt the fangs start to grow. But he didn’t open his mouth to show her.
They stared at each other. She wanted to run, Jungkook could tell. But she also knew it was pointless.
He looked her up and down and smirked at her trembling form.
Oh yes. You’ll do nicely.
