Okay, so I was texting a friend of mine who recently started working with me and the conversation goes to another person we work with, this is what was said. Now, I have done nothing to this person, I've never claimed to be high or to have done drugs period, I don't know where they would get this idea. (But of course you can't live with someone who does this kind of thing without them putting a little heat on you to join them) I feel that I'm handling this appropriately by not losing my temper completely and "confronting" this person in the way I would were it not in a professional setting, by using copious amounts of profanity and various other things that I'd later regret. Instead, I'm bringing this issue to the attention of a manager and letting them deal with this.\nThis is a slanderous lie, completely unfounded and unjustifiable, this could also very easily ruin my life because being fired for drug use looks so good on a resume/ application. It's just not appropriate, it's something I'd expect of a child in middle school, not an 18 year old with aspirations of military service! Sure, I could be petty and do the exact same thing to them, but that's immature and 100% inappropriate for me to do especially at my age.
