Let's start fresh this Monday. I was busy with Eid preparations and family so I apologize for not checking notifications and posting. Ill be doing it this week! :)
With every step you took on that aisle, Jungkook slowly felt his heart being ripped out of his chest. He watched from the back of the venue, how the dressed hugged your body, the veil cascading down your dress. You looked just as beautiful as the first time you wed.
He clenched the fabric of his pants in his fists, watching you reach the end of the aisle to your waiting groom, who was also one of his very old friends. He saw his friends standing in a neat line, the same way they were when he was standing in the groom’s place. You friends also being your bride’s maids. He took in detail of how delicate you held Taehyung’s hands, a smile peeking from the see through veil.
He should’ve expected it when Yoongi introduced you to them. The spark that shot through his body was only temporary. He wanted you for himself, his reason still unknown. He simply didn’t like the thought of someone else being able to hold you, someone else being able to kiss your lips, someone else calling you theirs.
He knew he deserved this, deserved the pain in watching you marry someone else. He broke his vows, he lied to you, damaged you, tore you apart, and Taehyung was the one to pick up your broken pieces and fill in the spaces he left. You deserved better, and that’s what Taehyung was, but Jungkook wouldn’t accept it. He needed you, he craved you, no matter how many women he was with, you were the only thing on his mind.
“The two will now share their vows.” The priest said, snapping Jungkook out of his little trance. He watched as you took a deep breath, your small baby bump peeking from your white dress, but despite that, you were still so beautiful to him. He closed his eyes, listening to your sweet laugh as you nervously started talking, picturing himself in front of you once again.
“Kim Taehyung, you were with my through my best and my darkest times, and I’m very grateful for you. You were there as my best friend, my rock, my anchor, the only thing that kept me sane throughout these years. You made me laugh, you made me cry, you made my heart swell with joy. You made me so happy, and this-this moment is one of the best things to happen to me. I want nothing but to make you happy, to be the one who lifts your spirits when you’re sad, the one to see you everyday, to wake up and fall asleep next to you, to be the one to love your forever. This is just the beginning for us, and I can’t wait for what’s to come.”
Jungkook looked at his hands, clenching them tighter when he heard the crowd sniffle at your heartwarming vow. He knew you replaced all your love for him for Taehyung, and he didn’t like it, but seeing you that happy, that smile on your face, your laugh, it was worth it in a way. He scoffed to himself when Taehyung began saying his vows, biting his lip to refrain from saying anything.
“(Y/N), I would be lying if I said I wasn’t attracted to you when we first met. The more we became friends, the more I felt myself falling for you. I basically annoyed the hyungs when I constantly talked about you around the dorms, but whatever decision you made, I supported you 110%, even if it broke me. But when I had you in my arms, when I helped you back up, when I dried your tears, when I found out you felt the same way I did, I couldn’t stop my overflowing happiness. I wanted nothing but to hold you in my arms and never let go. I will be there for everything, just like how I’ve been before we were together, but this, I promise to be there with you for eternity, to love you, to cherish you, to shower you with nothing but my love and time. I vow to forever be with you, through thick and thin.”
Jungkook heard your sniffles, only releasing Taehyung’s hands to wipe the tears that slipped out of your eyes. He knew the only tears Taehyung would cause you were tears of joy, while his was the opposite affect. He cracked his fingers, drowning out the preacher’s words until he heard the phrase he was waiting for. He didn’t care if he hurt anyone, he was selfish, he was pathetic, he was anything but kind when it came to you.
“If any man can show just cause, why they may not lawfully be joined together, let him now speak, or else hereafter for ever hold his peace.”
Jungkook proudly stood up, ignoring the chorus of gasps that echoed around the venue. His dark eyes met yours, your eyes widening as everyone turned to Jungkook.
