So this is going to be a series of cards on what my sister@BrennaTran and I realized after watching the most recent wings video Awake. There is so much information to this that we are going to have to make 5 or 6 cards in order to hit everything. If you would like to be tagged or untagged in future cards please let me know. As well as if you have any questions or see any holes in our theory please let us know we’d love to try to answer them in future cards. One of the biggest debates is what is the order of the videos from the HYYH era. The order that we have come up with is Prologue, I Need U, and Run. We’ll also touch on some other videos in later cards but for now we’re focusing on the big 3. Due to how much information each of these videos gives we’re going to put them all in their own card and prologue is going to be two because it's such a long video.
If you want to catch up on the theory so far here's the links!!!
Prologue is exactly what it says it is it’s what was happening in Jin’s (Sinclair’s) mind before the turmoil hit. At this point Jin’s personality is still sleeping and doesn’t realize that his mind has segmented. All of the personalities are getting along like old friends and we see Eva, who represents comfort, a few times showing that at the moment Jin’s mind is at peace.
Prologue opens to V (Anger and Bravery) covered in blood. This is foreshadowing of the turning point for Jin and his personalities. It shows that right now everything is ok but that can easily change. V makes a phone call and we believe this phone call to be to Rap Monster(Responsibility, Innocence, and Fear). V is showing fear and has killed someone. The personality that is needed now is the one that represents responsibility and fear.
The video starts to V holding a picture that resembles the picture of Eva that is seen in JHope’s Wing video Mama. We can believe this to be a picture of Eva. Now remember Eva is in Jin’s (Sinclair’s) head she is a guide that acts as Jin’s mother figure and romantic interest but in order for Jin to move forward she must eventually leave which is why we see V smash the picture. As well as at some point the comfort of a mother isn’t enough as much as you want it to be. Out of all the personalities he acts the most on edge like something is bothering him and we later see why in I Need U. We felt it important to note that when the other personalities join V it seems like Jimin(pain) purposely separates himself from the others. It would be his job to keep them from feeling the pain that they’re experiencing. At this point Jin is mostly observing through a camera. This shows that at this point in time the original personality is still asleep and still unaware of what is going on. He isn’t able to understand his own mind and has to look at it through a lens. In the video a sentence pops up that says “You can smile as long as we’re together.” Naturally in Jin’s mind this would be true. Only when Jin and all six of his personalities are Jin’s emotions and thoughts most clear. In the cases where they’re all together it’s the closest he can get to being whole.
Now we’re starting to get into some of the fun stuff. We see a butterfly which is flying backwards. As stated previously the butterfly represents Eva. We can think of Eva as a sort of pacifier for Jin’s mind. She keeps him calm and at peace but he can’t move forward while she’s around and that’s what we think the backwards flying butterfly means. That at this moment in time Jin’s mind might be at peace but it is stuck and unable to move forward. Also after this first sighting of the butterfly Jin takes a moment to look around himself. Eva brings comfort and is able to bring Jin’s mind to a point that he can relax and take a look at himself. This is the first moment of clarity we see from Jin, the first time we see the original personality realize that something isn’t quite right. One of the next things that happens is V(anger and bravery) and Rap Monster(responsibility, innocence and fear) spray paint a picture together. It looks like they tape the mouth of the picture shut. This is significant because the picture is an outline of Rap Monster. It shows that the fear makes it difficult for Rap Monster to act or to go through with his responsibilities. Which is shown in his Wings video Reflection. Next we have Rap Monster golfing a toy car into a puddle. This has huge meaning even though it doesn’t seem to be important at first. I may have mentioned in a previous card but we think that water represents pain and trauma. It is possible to drown in one’s own pain and suffering this is why we see the holder of the pain Jimin near bath tubs. As many of you know cars also are important in the videos and are most often seen in reference with Jungkook(protector). We believe the cars represent realizations and moments of clarity. Each time we see a car Jin has had a moment where he has realized that things aren’t right and he starts fighting back. The reason we see Jungkook near the cars most is because he comes across as the all knowing personality. In order to protect he needs to know what is happening and that is why he always sees the car. Note that the first car is a toy car. Jin’s first moment of clarity is small and barely there. There isn’t much strength behind it. The personalities want to drown this moment of realization. They don’t want Jin to wake up because that could mean the end of their own existence. So they hit it into the water and drown it in the pain. All of the personalities are involved in this drowning of the car. Except Jin who is watching through his lens and still doesn’t understand what is happening and Jungkook who as the protector remains neutral and just observes. Most notably Rap Monster, Jimin and Suga celebrate the drowning of the car. Rap Monster would not want Jin to wake up out of fear as to what would happen, Jimin would not want the pain to spread and would want to keep it to himself and Suga who is depression and suicide doesn’t want to be suppressed.
We later see JHope sleeping. Him sleeping could arguably be him attention seeking in certain kind of way but more importantly we wanted to hit on the interaction between Suga and Jungkook. Suga sits next to JHope in order to take a picture with him but Jungkook sees and comes running. Jungkook as the protector would be worried about leaving Suga who is depression alone with the other personalities for too long. The next part of the video is when V climbs up onto the roof and the others watch. This is a foreshadowing to his mindset. At the moment he is the most unsettled personality. He is on edge because of the anger he has towards the father figure that represents the abuse. Also as a more side note you have Jungkook separating Suga from the others and what seems like Jimin separating himself from the other personalities based on where they’re sitting. We don’t have a good picture of it but we wanted to show what the other member’s reactions were to V climbing onto the roof. You can see Rap Monster covering his eyes out of fear, Jimin just watches, Jin continues to watch through his lens, Suga ignores what he’s doing because as depression and suicide it wouldn’t bother him, and then you have Jhope and Jungkook waving for him to come down. Jungkook because he is the protector and Jhope because this would take away from his attention as the attention seeker.
Rap Monster writes onto the mirror “You need to survive.” This one took us a bit to figure out. We believe this to be a message to Jin the original personality from Rap Monster. The emotions that Rap Monster represents are all emotions that weigh heavy on the heart. We believe that Rap Monster has a strong connection to Jin’s heart or is his soul. And he may understand what is going on but he feigns ignorance by hiding behind fear and innocence. Wanting to stay young and carefree. We think that the mirror represents “the mirror in the soul” or is a way to see into Jin’s heart and soul. We see Rap Monster turning his back to the mirror as well quite often, not wanting to see the pain out of fear. The heart doesn’t want to recognize it’s own pain and suffering, it will hide to keep from shattering as long as possible. We’re looking at the lighter as a trigger. Suga stares at the flame of the camp fire intently when messing with the lighter. Maybe in the sense that Suga wants/knows the flame is growing, depression is growing. When Jungkook blows out the flame of the lighter, it’s like him saying “no, not now. Timing isn’t right.” Jungkook keeps close to Suga because depression is seen as darkness and the thing that provides life to Suga is the lighter. When depression comes into light it can become uncontrollable. Jungkook puts out that light keeping him in darkness. Suga could be playing with the lighter because he wants more control and this could also be why he looks at the flame in the camp fire. The light is so bright and wild, yet all he was given was a tiny lighter that barely stays lit. This is all just our opinion and what my sister and I gathered from watching the videos. We do not own any of these pictures nor claim to. We hope to have the next card out soon. @AnyameTenchu@Bwolfgirl@karinamiranda81 Thirst Squad <3:@fruitypoptart@BrennaTran@AaliyahNewbell@twistedPuppy@IsoldaPazo@MichalJamerson@Sailynn@kolai4@pharmgirlerin@Kolai4@InnocentiaKishi@Junhwanbae92
