‘(Y/N), do you understand how important this is?’ the man on the other end of the call shouted. This call had been going on far too longer that it should, and quite frankly, I was pretty much done with all of his crap. I took a long sigh before replying, “Look, Mr. Choi… I will be back in 3 days. I trust you can handle things until then. I need to go now. I will call you tomorrow to see how things are. Goodbye.” With that said, I hung up before he could say anything to convince me to go back sooner. My dress had snuck up my thigh, which I didn’t realize until I got back to the crowd. I brought my dress back down to my mid-thighs before flashing an awkward smile at anyone that had noticed. The only two people that seemed to have noticed were Marisol and one of the groom’s friends. After making eye contact with him I instantly looked to the ground and Mari grabbed my wrist, pulling me over to the group of people that her groom was standing with. “Oppa, this is my best friend. (Y/N).” she smiled, grabbing my hand and bringing it to his. He smiled and firmly grasped my hand. I tried to smile back, but my awkwardness began to flow out of me. “I’m Hongki, it’s nice to finally meet you. Mari talks about you all of the time.” He said before returning his focus to one of his many friends. Even though there were so many people, I still felt so alone. The only person I knew was Mari. Even though she talked about Hongki, I’ve never met him until now. They have been together for years, and now they are finally getting married. With the amount of time Mari and I spend together, I never understood why I never met Hongki sooner. Or any of his friends. I feel like if I had met any of these guys sooner, this would be a double wedding. I turned to look for the guy I had met eyes with not too long ago, but he was nowhere to be found. I didn’t put much effort into trying hard to find him and ended up just walking to where the food was. As the night grew dark, champagne and other various kinds of alcohol began to be catered out. Knowing that I was going to ride a taxi back to the hotel, there was no issue with having a little alcohol. I grabbed the fruitiest thing they had, just to get a little buzzed and maybe a good night sleep. The only people that weren’t at least a little buzzed were the group of people that made their way onto the stage. I wasn’t buzzed enough to not know who the lead singer was, but buzzed enough to know I wanted him. He was who had seen me earlier when my dress ran up my thigh. We exchanged smiles before he began singing. My heart dropped at the sound of his voice. It felt as if an angel had just touched my soul. Mari and Hongki began their dance. Her dress began to glow under the moonlight. She looked absolutely beautiful.
When the song ended, the newly married couple walked over to grab a plate of food and then continue having small conversations with everyone, being congratulated, and enjoy being a married couple. Between conversations, both would grab a glass of whatever was being passed by them at the time. Soon, for Hongki, it became in between sentences. Mari didn’t mind him getting drunk, just as long as he would find them a ride to a hotel afterwards. I saw Mari leave for the bathroom, or so I thought. I followed so I could inform her that I was going to head back to my hotel for the night and would meet up with them in the morning. After she went into the building and turned the corner, she was nowhere to be found. I continued looking for her anyway, but ended up getting lost. I was both scared and relieved when I felt a hand on my wrist. I turned around, hoping that it was Mari, but it wasn’t. “Hongki.. Thank god. I was looking for Mari and I-” I began, but was cut off when his lips met mine. I struggled to get him off of me, but when I did I had enough time to speak before he latched onto me again. “Hongki.. What the hell… Stop.” I managed to fight between breaths. When his hand snaked between my thighs, I knew I was doomed. I wasn’t strong enough to fight him off, especially if he found my weak points, and there was no one around to rip him off of me. Even though there wasn’t a point to, I continued fighting. With one hand holding mine above my head, the other was pulling at my underwear, which he had ripped off within seconds. Tears began falling from my face and I began shaking. I wasn’t sure if I was shaking in fear of if he had found my weak points. Maybe both. I cried out one last time before knocking him to the ground. I ran as fast as I could, hoping to get as far away as possible which wasn’t very far. I ran into a figure and fell to the ground. I began to cry even harder in fear things would get worse. The figure walked passed me and over to Hongki. I sat back and watched as Hongki was lifted from the ground and punched several times. Hongki soon grabbed ahold of the other guy and threw him off of him. The two of them began throwing punches everywhere. Yes, I hated what Hongki had just done, and I wasn’t sure if I would ever want to see him again, but I hated when people fought. “Guys stop!” I cried, jumping on top of Hongki, hoping to get him to stop. Unfortunately, he just threw me off of him and I few into a wall. The guy under Hongki gained enough strength to get him off and he stopped fighting. I could tell by the look in Hongki’s eyes that he was nowhere near done with fighting. I rushed over to the other guy and saw that it was the singer I had my eyes on. He stared into my eyes before he lifted me from the ground and put his jacket around me as he walked me out of the building, leaving Hongki behind. Fortunately, no one saw us as we left the reception. The two of us got into the nearest taxi. He noticed me pulling my dress down as far as it could go. He took no time to get his shirt off and place it over my lap, covering what my dress wouldn’t. He must have seen my underwear ripped up on the floor before we left. “My name is Takahiro Moriuchi, but you can call me Taka. Which hotel are you staying at?” he gazed into my eyes as he spoke. His eyes felt so soft and his voice was comforting. Every time I tried to speak, I ended up choking on my tears and couldn’t seem to get a grip on myself. He then gave the driver an address to where I’m guessing he was staying.
