Inside concrete and steel, perspectives change unwittingly.
Beyind these doors, past and future erode like sand under the tide.
Within these confines, tethered so with aires and imposition
Dedication to the cause means nothing, just along for the ride.
Outside the prison cell is no different than within;
We are all bound by chains of our own design,
Innate disillusionment of probability
Undermining the shreds of hope we find.
Scattered across the floor like so many broken pieces,
Unwanted puzzles and overburdened caprices.
In my dreams, the screams unscreamed reverberate the landscape,
For even in my head there is nowhere to escape.
