With every new piece of music they release, BTS makes history in several ways in countries all around the world, and this frame is perhaps their best yet, especially in the U.K. The group has reached new heights and done things they’ve never come close to in their time together on both the albums and songs charts, proving themselves to be not just the biggest name in K-pop, but one of the most popular acts in all of music.
Here’s a look at what the band accomplished on the U.K. singles chart this week.

One Of The Highest-Charting Singles From A Korean Act
“Boy With Luv” may be the highest-charting single from a K-pop group, but the same can’t be said when soloists are included. At the beginning of this decade, fellow Korean megastar Psy made history when his breakout smash “Gangnam Style” made it all the way to No. 1 in the U.K. He was able to follow that up in relatively short order with another hit, “Gentleman,” which went all the way to No. 10.

The Most Singles Chart Placements Among K-Pop Acts
With a trio of new appearances inside the top 100, BTS has now racked up eight charting singles in their career. That is easily the most by a Korean act in the U.K. chart’s history, as the handful of other names that have managed to chart at all haven’t placed nearly as many songs between Nos. 1 and 100, though some may match BTS’ current record with more time.
