Ayo! Hello. So, I started a new story. . . Angst and Dramafilled. Iono about putting Smut in it yet cause I'm not advanced in smut writing. We will just see how the story goes okay? Great!
It was simple, she was the future wife of a boss. When Lim's soon-to-be husband wants to marry his mistress instead, he reaches out to a fellow Don. Things go awry, that changes the complete course of action. Angered by the betrayal, Jooyoung develops a new plan.
"Joo, we have a job for you. You're one of our best guys, it shows since you were requested."
The stoic figure gave a smirk. He was one of the best, if not the best, for anything. Intelligent, swift, quickwitted, and could easily blend in.
"What is the job?"
"An assassination. Tae-Sung requested your assistance."
He stood by the window looking out. Another Don, it was odd he'd ask since he had a crew of his own.
"Why did he request me? Is the job to close for comfort."
"Apparently. There's someone who is standing in the way of his love. She apparently is vindictive, and possessive over him. Violence has happened."
"Boss, I don't off women or children. That goes against our way."
It was true. His family didn't harm women or children. If they happened too, it would have to be important. Jooyoung stood there confused. Honestly speaking, a woman couldn't be that extreme to have a hit out on her.
"While that may be, he sent me a long explanation for this sudden attack on a woman."
"What does her file say?"
He approached the desk picking up her dossier. Reading through it, Lim sounded like a monster. Tae-Sung recorded instances where she even attacked his mom out of spite for him loving someone else. With every line he read, the subject in talk was a loose cannon. If his boss okayed this, this had to be bad.
"Alright, does this explain her daily schedule?"
"Yes. If you don't feel like you can do it, I can find someone outside our family."
"No need to do that. The more I read, the more I feel like this would be beneficial."
Jooyoung wanted to follow Lim to get an idea of when it would be best to attack. He had her address and picture. It was strange, she looked sweet and kind. How someone could be a complete opposite of how they were perceived was weird. She didn't even look edgy. He arrived outside her house as she was talking to her elderly neighbor. Lim handed her a dish. This was probably her facade to seem loving.
TaeSung called Jooyoung asking to meet. He agreed and drove away leaving Lim for another time. He approached the location. TaeSung was holding hands with a woman, when Jooyoung walked up.
"You must be the infamous one. I'm TaeSung, please have a seat and we can talk more."
Jooyoung sat across from him noticing his men swarming around.
"So I read your dossier on Lim. She sounds like a monster."
"She is, it's causing me and my betrothed to have issues. I made a mistake, and it's haunting me. My mom has even been a victim of her aggression."
"I don't mean to pry, but why can't you handle this yourself?"
That one question made TaeSung shift in his seat. Jooyoung took note how offended he was. This was a red flag.
"It would look personal. Her family knows me and my men. They would sell me out. Bring down my family in their web of lies. I need an outside source so it doesn't come back to me in anyway. I just want to spend time with the woman I love."
This still felt off, wrong even, but the guy made a good point. He noticed though that the woman didn't have an engagement ring. Maybe they just kept it between them until after the job was completed.
"I'll help. I'm usually against hits on women or children, but I guess there's an exception to the rule."
"Your help will forever be appreciated. Your boss told me you were the best. Thank you."
TaeSung got up as he bowed, leaving an envelop of money for Jooyoung's services. The entire time they were talking, there was a slight unsteadiness in his voice. He could detect lies by how a person spoke. This man wasn't being completely honest. There were some details he failed to mention. Regardless, Jooyoung would make his attack that night.
Back at his secret hold up, he grabbed his bullet-proof vest from the closet. He never did any jobs without it. He couldn't risk being too careful, especially not with hits he wasn't too familiar with. Grabbing his bag, he decided to proceed to Lim's house; it was time. He called his boss to let him know he was going through with it. He saw a dim light in her house on. It seemed as if she was getting ready for bed. He saw her silhouette walking by the window, as he silently approached her fence. Going in the back would be the less noticable path.
He picked her lock, as he heard her in her den. Silently, he shut the door behind him, carefully not to raise attention. A picture hanging on the wall, caught his attention. When he approached it, he noticed what seemed to be an engagement photo. It was Lim and TaeSung, in a loving embrace. Red flags went off. That was the secret TaeSung held. Jooyoung wasn't sent to kill the mistress,. Oh no, it was the exact opposite, he was sent to kill the betrothed. Even a picture of Lim and her future mother in law was right under it. The lady didn't look feared in the photo, she looked elated.
"What the fuck are you doing in my house?" Lim noticed the gun in his hand as she dropped the glass, it shattered on the floor besides Jooyoung, breaking his train of thought.
"Fuck. This is a set-up," he was enraged.
Lim started running towards the stairs to try and grab her gun from her room. Jooyoung had to move her out of the house quick, there was no telling when TaeSung's men would show up. He chased after her, to try and reason with Lim. As soon as he hit the stairs, there was a crashing sound behind him.
"Listen to me, we don't have any time. I have to get you to my compound if we want to survive."
"Who fucking sent you?" She drew her gun at Jooyoung.
"I can't tell you that right now," he held his hands up.
"You will leave, or I will put a bullet through your fucking eyes."
As she pulled the slide back ready to send him to hell, Lim noticed a shadow approaching upstairs. Changing her focus made Jooyoung turn around, he was shot. Once in his shoulder, making him stumble back, while another bullet caught his leg. Lim shot the guy in his head as she ran to Jooyoung.
"Do you believe me now?" He grimaced in pain. He forgot how it felt to be shot. "There's no time to explain. Get me to my car, I can tell you where to take us. Leave your phone, it can be traced."
Lim scurried to grab money from her drawer, and other important things, turning to help Jooyoung up. She helped him down the stairs as she noticed a few more people heading through her back door. Jooyoung shot one guy in his chest, as Lim shot another in his head.
"We have to burn the house. They'll search for us if not. He only sent a few to take us out. Not his entire compound. We can buy time to seek revenge."
"Who the hell is he?"
She was guiding them through her house as she turned every corner with complete caution. This mysterious guy, obviously sent for one mission, helped save her life. Lim noticed a tattoo on the wrist of the dead man, when they walked past him. Her heart began racing. She poured oil on the stove as she turned it on. She threw the remaining alcohol bottles to help speed the fire up.
When they got to Jooyoung's car, she pulled away seeing her house engulfed in flames. Everything she needed was with her, but it sucked seeing what she worked so hard for, up in flames. The most important things hid in a bag in her closet. Even Taesung didn't know anything about it. She never trusted anyone around her heirlooms and things given to her by family. That was the one thing she managed to grab.
"Where are we going?"
"My compound. I'll explain everything there."
After a few miles of driving, she pulled up to a heavily guarded mansion. The men approached the car, noticing Jooyoung. They allowed the car through.
"Don't let anyone who isn't in this family, in these gates."
"Yes sir, boss is in his chambers."
Pulling up the driveway, there were people awaiting their arrival. They helped Jooyoung out, as Lim followed behind with their bags. That tattoo she saw engraved into her mind, making her stomach do flips. The tattoo was what her fiancee's crew got when they entered into the family. They walked into the room with his Don, as he looked angry.
"I was set up. He tried to send his men in to dispose of me as well. She isn't what he portrayed her to be."
"Like who portrayed me to be," Lim was antsy to get answers, even though she had a good idea. "I have a right to know what's going on."
"Were you followed kid?" The boss ordered medical assistance to help the wounded man.
"No, we had plenty of time to safely get to the car. She shot a few of the guys, and we set the house on fire to buy us time. Lim," he turned his focus to the impatient girl, "read that folder in my bag."
She walked over to the bag as she looked up at him. There was no telling what she was about to read, but she wasn't ready either way. Opening the folder, she saw her picture on one side, and a full report on the other. Her heart sank when she saw Taesung's handwriting. He ordered her to be killed. All for a mistress. Reading about her being a monster, made her livid. He deliberately misconstrued everything about her. The way she treated his mom, to the random assaults. Lim took better care of his mom than he did. She also knew about a possible mistress, but she never imagined it to be true. She thought Taesung was different. Lim was wrong.
"So he hired you, to to get rid of me? All for her? I've dealt with his bullshit for how long, and he has the gall to do this? Everything he said about me isn't true."
"We know that now, you are safe here. We'll figure out what to do, so you can get payback. I hear you're quite the marksman with that gun." The Don softly approached her.
"My dad taught me how to shoot at a young age. He always told me to protect myself the best I could. Apparently TaeSung didn't realize that factor."
Jooyoung was tended to as he sat in silence. Every second that passed, he got angrier by the situation. The fire should have completely leveled the house by now. He was curious, as he turned the news on. There were reporters present covering the fire. TaeSung was on camera begging for the information of the perpetrator that set his now deceased fiancee's house on fire. The house was a total loss, everyone thought she was inside, and her life was lost. All they could make out were bodies inside.
"Wow it's kind of morbid to see yourself on fire on TV. That was such a pleasant home. He puts on a good show, eventhough it isn't sincere."
The other people in the room laughed at her comment. The camera shifted back to Taesung hugging his mom. She was the only one that was sincere. It hurt Lim to watch this. It hurt worse knowing he wanted her dead.
"Lim, I offer my sincerest apology to you. Had I known, this would have never happened."
"What can you do, right? At least you ended up helping me in the end. I just don't understand why?"
Jihoon got bandaged up as he approached the t.v. He instantly noticed the woman from the meeting earlier. Taesung had her there, like she was a mourning neighbor. He saw it as blatant disrespect. The fire was barely out and he was seen hugging that woman.
"At least I still have my most important things here. I really don't want to impose. I can leave."
"No, you're going to stay," Jooyoung felt obligated to keep her safe more.
