Enneagram indicates nine different styles and types of personalities, with each of them representing a worldview and archetype that resonates in the way people think, act in accordance to the world and feel, others as well as themselves.
It is way beyond a personality profile that offers insights into the core personality traits, as it dwells deeper into the core motivations, fears and defence mechanisms which often lie in the unconscious layers of a personality structure. Any gram core type is a home base from which we understand integration and development.
In other words, this personality type can be defined as the identification, perspective, style and lens.
It is necessary to keep in mind that different Enneagram styles can display similar behaviour. The Enneagram patterns are not based only on behaviour, or outward behaviour which can be deceiving when exploring the Enneagram.
In order to be able to distinguish between styles, it is very important to assess motivation – and explore why a person chooses to act in a particular way and by acting in that way has been valued by the individual.

They try to strive for a peaceful existence and appreciate stability in life and also prefer to avoid conflicts. Nines are experienced as vibrant and self-aware. They offer the gift of sustainable action to themselves and also to the world around them and also the gift of right.
The less healthy year nines may be experienced at self-denying, stubborn and procrastinating. This stems down from a pattern of going along and getting along with others and the eventual discomfort which arises when this strategy does not seem satisfying.
Enneagram nine personality gifts include:
Many nines are themselves unaware of their own passive-aggressive behaviour and how this behaviour could affect others who are around them. In order to pursue their needs, they ensure that everyone is being heard, nines often try to present various viewpoints in conversation with others.
This may lead to lengthy and drawn out explanations which could cause the listener to lose interest; it may also impact the nine degrees of influence and credibility as well in a negative manner.
