Area Mosaic Mural art project arriving for Clarington
Clarington art lovers can get a chance next week to participate a community art mural consisting of 700 individually painted tiles, with all the finished product to become displayed outside Town Hallway in Bowmanville.
Communities over Canada will participate through creating murals of bushes to symbolize connection, within the guidance of Mosaic Murals, a group that was creating mosaic mural art projects in Canada and all over the world since 1997.
The murals are section of a global art project by Mosaic Murals of which aims to “Re-Connect that World” with “one brushed tile, one tree, 1 community, one country at the moment. ”
“The purpose on this project is to (re)connect your communities, families and long-distance family members through the joy plus inspiration that bringing mosaic tiles jointly into one united piece of art. ” Mural Mosaic explained on their website.
Clarington’s mural is going to be an apple tree. Each square on the mural represents a tile than a different resident will coloring.
To participate, residents are encouraged to register (and to receive tips and guidelines) with www. muralmosaic. com/Clarington.
You will receive a tile kit which includes one mosaic tile, fresh paint, and supplies, instructions, together with ingredients to make the pancake breakfast.
One tile per resident as well as tile kits will be handed out on a first-come, first-serve base.
Pick-up dates and locations are going to be Tuesday, August 17, by 3 to 6 p. m. on Diane Hamre Recreation Complicated; Wednesday, August 18, via 3 to 6 p. m. at Courtice Community Complex; as well as Thursday, August 19, via 3 to 6 p. m. at Clarington Public Library - Bowmanville Branch.
