At this time a plate of smoky hot khichuri is like the peace of eyes and mind! Although the main ingredient in khichuri cooking is a combination of equal amounts of rice and pulses; but it is mixed with vegetables, meat, and other ingredients to make khichuri a unique flavor.
We are usually familiar with two types of khichuri. Some prefer roasted khichuri, while others prefer soft 'letka' khichuri. However, even if there is a difference in taste or preference, Bengali means there will be weakness towards khichuri.
Khichuri was a special item on rainy days as well as on other occasions. After growing up, I had the opportunity to taste khichuri in various famous places in Dhaka.
