Line to Hook Knots: NanoFil Knot (Double Palomar)

This knot is specifically for Nanofil (or similar) line that is very thin with zero stretch and zero memory, thus making it very slippery. A special knot must be used so that it can be tied off. This knot is Palomar knot, but done with a double overhand knot instead of a single overhand knot. How to: #1. Double 6 inches of line and pass end of loop through eye of hook. #2. Tie a loose overhand knot with hook hanging from bottom. #3. Pass working end through the loop created by the overhand knot a second time. #4. Holding the double overhand knot between thumb and forefinger, pass loop of line over the hook. Slide loop above eye of hook. #5. Pull on both the standing line and tag end to tighten knot down onto eye. Be sure that the knot does not get hung up on the hook shank below the eye. Clip tag end close.

I like to spend my weekends with the family for a ball game, or taking my kids out fishing.
