Yusuf Pathan- Rajasthan Royals (25 sixes)

Yusuf Pathan played an important role in making Rajasthan Royals the IPL 2008 champion, Pathan made headlines by playing many fireworks during the season. Pathan had scored 435 runs in the first edition of IPL in 15 innings of 16 matches at an average of 31.07 at a strike rate of 179.01. During this, Pathan also hit 25 sixes and 43 fours.


Shaun Marsh - Kings XI Punjab (26 sixes)

Kings XI Punjab opener Shaun Marsh, who won the Orange Cap in IPL 2008, was the center of attraction during the season. Marsh scored the highest 616 runs in just 11 innings at an average of 68.44 and a strike rate of 139.38, during which Marsh hit 59 fours as well as 26 highs. Marsh was the batsman who hit the second most number of sixes in IPL 2008.


Sanath Jayasuriya - Mumbai Indians (31 sixes)


Sanath Jayasuriya batted very vigorously for Mumbai Indians in the IPL 2008 season and scored 514 runs throughout the season with the help of a strike rate of over 160. Jayasuriya also scored a fiery century in the first season of IPL. In 14 innings of 14 matches, Sanath hit 31 sixes as well as hit 57 fours. Jayasuriya was the most successful batsman of Mumbai Indians, although his team's performance was very mediocre.
