It is convenient to calculate the approximate time of the boat trip, depending on whether you are going to travel on a motor boat or on a sailboat.
No more passengers than allowed should be taken on board. Keep in mind that each boat is approved to transport a certain number of people in a defined area. It is very important not to bend the rules when it comes to passenger comfort and safety.
First aid and coverage: We have a first aid kit. When we sail with a skipper, it is important for the skipper to know if any passenger takes any medication or is allergic to any medication, in the event that any passenger requires first aid. It should be borne in mind that mobile phones do not usually have coverage far from the coast, so calls cannot be sent or received, although mobile coverage may be available at some points near the coast.
TIPS ON THE WEATHER
It is also important to know the weather information on the day the crossing is going to be made, and to adapt the plans according to the weather. In case of bad weather, we recommend that the crossing be postponed for another day when the weather is more favorable. Weather forecasting methods are becoming more advanced and therefore more reliable.
Clothes and accessories. Even in summer, it is advisable to bring some warm clothing, since in the sea, the thermal sensation can drop due to the humidity. It is also advisable to bring a raincoat.
Prepare footwear. Boat shoes or rubber-soled shoes are ideal, as rubber-soled shoes have better grip on wet surfaces.
Of course, don't forget the essentials for sailing: sunscreen, a change of dry clothes, nautical equipment, a cap, sunglasses, etc.
