When wishing to improve the look of your eyes, a lot of people look to false eyelashes. If you have never worn them before, here are a few tips for applying false eyelashes. It's not that hard, so give it a try.
Although false eyelash application is quite simple, you should choose the most naturally looking lashes you can find to begin with. You can vary the appearance by using mascara later. Try using half strips or small clumps until you get used to them before moving on the full strips lashes.
Always use the recommended clear glue and don't be tempted to use the coloured versions, as this may just look like wobbly eyeliner when the glue is dry. Squeeze a little out onto a piece of spare plastic, like a bottle top, and use a cocktail stick (or similar) to transfer a thin strip of glue to the base of the false lashes. Leave a few seconds until it becomes 'tacky'. You may need to put a little extra on each end if using a full strip of lashes to provide as this will give extra security where it is needed.
Never pull your false lashes off without using the recommended solvent or you will pull your own natural lashes out as well and possibly irritate the eye. Remove the false eyelashes carefully and gently. Try not to sleep in false eyelashes as you may find you have a nice set of red eyes in the morning; this is not that attractive!
Store your false eyelashes cleaned and in the box to maintain their shape and they will last you for quite a while.
