Will was the leading man in the 2005 rom-com Hitch, about a professional “dating doctor” and matchmaker who finds a love of his own. Now Smith will be the executive producer for a television version of the movie that will explore “dating and sexual politics.” Hitch was an enjoyable movie, and I can see the subject matter and characters translating well to a television format, though I’m not sure if the show will pick up where the movie left off or if it will be a sort of reimagining with the same or even new characters.
