There are plenty of lantern festivals held around the world, but none quiet as solemn and meaningful as the Floating Lantern Festival in Hawaii. More than 6,000 candle-lit lanterns with messages of remembrance and prayer illuminate the ocean each year off the coast of Magic Island at Ala Moana Beach Park in Honolulu, Hawaii.
