Here are 7 of my favorite 'fictional' places that you can actually travel to: 1. Arandelle, Frozen Nærøyfjord, Norway inspired the animation of Elsa’s kingdom, Arandelle, in Disney’s Frozen. 2. Hogwarts Great Hall, Harry Potter The great hall of Christ Church in Oxford was the model for set designers of the Harry Potter franchise. 3. Mordor, The Lord of the Rings Raw shots for the Lord of the Rings’ Mordor were filmed at Tongariro National Park in New Zealand. 4. King’s Landing, Game of Thrones Scenes at King’s Landing in HBO’s Game of Thrones were originally filmed in Mdina, Malta. Shooting later relocated to Dubrovnik, Croatia, to allow for seaside shots. 5. The Hundred Acre Wood, Winnie the Pooh Author A.A. Milne lived nearby East Sussex’s Ashdown Forest, and the woodland inspired the Hundred Acre Wood of his classic Winnie the Pooh stories. 6.
