[4th-Jan-15] Daily Rumour Mill

Here's a look this Sunday at the big stories making headlines: 1. Liverpool are set to pay Lille £3 million in order to recall Origi from loan to play in the Premier League this season. (Source: http://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/exclusive-liverpool-fc-set-reach-8380227) 2. Steven Gerrard reportedly turned down £18 million to play in Qatar before deciding on the MLS. (Source: http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/sport/football/6233930/Steven-Gerrard-snubs-Qatar-bid-in-order-to-fulfil-USA-dream.html) 3. Tottenham are prepared to sell Hugo Lloris. (Source, SUBSCRIPTION REQUIRED: http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/sport/football/6235780/Hugo-and-leave-us.html) 4. Glenn Hoddle, the ex-England manager, could be set to take up the vacant job at Newcastle United. (Source: http://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/former-england-boss-glenn-hoddle-8379842) My Thoughts: 1. Liverpool pretty much aren't going to go anywhere and with Sturridge coming back soon I can see them passing on this. 2. Good offer but the MLS will pay him more over time I think. 3. Would be a shock as he's been one of their best players all season. 4. Could be good for Newcastle but I don't know why Hoddle would take this knowing the difficulty in the job with owner Mike Ashley.
