Lately, a lot of my vegan friends have been seriously flipping out about Hampton Creek's latest product offering, Just Cookie Dough - their 100% egg and dairy free chocolate chip cookie dough. It comes in a large tub, similar to what you'd find when looking for Pillsbury or Nestle prepared dough, and can be eaten as a batch of freshly baked cookies, floured and rolled into balls for ice cream topping, or enjoyed straight out of the bucket without any need to be worried about salmonella or e coli.
(Note: While the batter itself is safe for those with nut allergies, there is still gluten and soy in the ingredients.)
Currently, the company is further developing the Just Cookie Dough line, developing recipes for oatmeal raisin, peanut butter, and sugar cookies for release later this year.
