[28th-Jan-15] Match Preview: Sheffield United-Spurs

The second leg of the other League Cup Semi-Final consists of cup giant killers Sheffield United who also made last year's FA Cup Semi-Final, against Tottenham. Spurs will enter the tie with a 1-0 advantage having scored a penalty from the first leg. For Spurs, Eriksen and Harry Kane will be available for selection after being rotated out in Tottenham's 2-1 loss to Leicester City this past weekend. Michael Vorm will also stay in goal for Spurs, despite his error that saw them eliminated from the FA Cup. Sheffield United have recent history to look to for motivation, having lost only 2 of their last 12 FA Cup and League Cup games and 3 out of 21 overall, a run that includes the dumping of 5 Premier League clubs out of the tournament. Spurs have won the last 3 meetings between the clubs but are winless in their last 5 trips to Bramall Lane. I would expect goals. Spurs have no clean sheets in their last 11 and Sheffield United only 1 in their last 7. Predictions: Blades lead early, but Kane rescues Spurs with another late goal. Sheffield United 1-1 Spurs
