Electronic Vs. Mechanical Groupsets

The pro peloton was assessed during the Dubai Tour, about 90% of the pros are now run electronic groupsets. It seems that most riders prefer electronic groupsets, even if it took time to get used to. Not only do the riders love them, the mechanics find them easier as well (once the bike is already built). With the coming of FSA and SRAM electronic, it seems that nearly every rider will start riding on electronic groupset. Would you rider electronic given the option, or do you think mechanical is more practical?
