Chelsea have won the 2014-2015 League Cup with a 2-0 win over Spurs.
The game was more of a quiet one in the first half, with not a lot of really good attacking play before Willian's corner deflected off a sea of bodies to John Terry's feet, who buried it off a deflection to put the Blues up 1-0.
Early in the second half, Chelsea were on the break forward as Diego Costa broke towards the left post, taking a shot that deflected the opposite way of a diving Hugo Lloris and into the net just inside the near post.
Overall, the game was slow and I didn't find it very entertaining, but Spurs did not look like threatening for the entirety of the match. Chelsea were much the better side throughout the 90 and thoroughly deserved their 2-0 win, despite Spurs controlling a vast majority of the possession.
The win guarantees the Europa League for Chelsea but as they look destined to finish in the top 3 in the league and consequently the Champions League from that, it will be the Premier League's 6th place that will now qualify for the Europa League.
