Olga Leonardovna Knipper occupies a unique place in the Russian art history. One of the founding members of the Moscow Art Theatre, she met the playwright Anton Chekhov in 1898 and later married him.The Seagull, Uncle Vanya, The Cherry Orchard… Some of Chekhov’s most notable works were achieved through his relationship with her.
