Contrary to popcultural mythology, my tattoos were not licked on by a fluffy unicorn (although, how boss would that be?!?!), so they did in fact "hurt." Along with the furry animal cuddle origin theory, there seems to be a misconception going around that it's perfectly acceptable for other humanoids to unsolicitedly grab other people's inked parts in public. No. I don't get mystical creature kisses instead of needles, and strangers don't get to touch my body randomly.
