[7th-Apr-15] Match Preview: Aston Villa - QPR

Aston Villa will be without the services of Alan Hutton, Ashley Westwood, and Scott Sinclair, whom are all out due to injury issues while Aly Cissokho and Kieran Richardson will return to the squad. QPR have lost Eduardo Vargas for the rest of the season with a knee injury and Yun Suk-Young will also miss the fixture with a concussion.

The relegation scrap is set to be huge in determining who will survive and who will drop. Villa have won the last 5 Premier League games at Villa Park while QPR are looking for their first double over Villa since the 86-87 season. Villa at home have only 3 wins all season, joint worst in the Premier League, while their 11 goals in those 14 games is sole worst. Villa have also lost 9 of their last 11 in the Premier League and are only 2-5-9 in their last 16 games.

QPR's 2 wins since Christmas have both been away from Loftus Road but they still are without consecutive Premier League wins on the road since 1995. Bobby Zamora is also in form on the road, scoring his last 7 during his travels.

Prediction: Think Sherwood, who is a close mate with QPR boss Chris Ramsey, will get the better of his friend here and Villa have a little more quality int he squad. Will be nervy though.

Villa 2-1 QPR
