Takeda Castle: a ruined castle floating in clouds

Takeda Castle is a ruined castle in the city of Asago, in the Northern part of Hyogo prefecture, Japan. Often referred to as the “Macchu-Picchu of Japan”, this castle is regarded as one of Japan’s best castles.

Located on a mountain at 353 meters of altitude, in the early morning hours of Autumn, the castle is covered with fog, so that it looks like it is floating. In Japanese, this phenomenon is called “Kai-Un” (sea of clouds), because the white fog is really similar to the clouds.
