Stylish Ways to Repurpose Old T-Shirts

I've been seeing a lot of cut-out, lace and open back tops in the stores. Most of them are about $10-$20 depending on where you shop. Honestly, I was tempted to purchase them because they're so trendy and it looks cute to wear on the beach. I'm glad I resisted because I did some googling and found a frugal way to make my own fashion tops without spending a cent.

I compiled some of my favorite designs in this card. The best type of t-shirt to use is a jersey top (for that slouchy look) but if you don't have one just go with a cotton top.

Cut Out T-Shirt

As you can see you don't need a sewing machine for this. All you need is a pair of scissor and some creativity to make beautiful patterns!

Side Lace Panel T-Shirt

It's better if you have a sewing machine to make sure the lace fabric is attached. To achieve this design, you'll need to cut the sides of the t-shirt and then sew on the lace fabric.

Bow Back T-Shirt

This is a cute style for the beach! Use the same method as above (cut out the side), then twist the back and sew the sides back in place.

That's it! I've been trying this over the weekend. Join me if you have time! :)
