최초에는 마리오가 되고 싶었는지 정체가 불분명했던 레고 시리즈는
레고 스타워즈라는 운명적인 계기를 통해 지금까지도 유지되고 있는 게임의 틀을 확립합니다.
번갈아 혹은 코옵으로 서로 기능을 담당하는 여러 캐릭터를 조종하면서 가벼운 퍼즐을 풀어 진행하는 상쾌한 게임성입니다.
개인적으로 가장 처음 레고 게임에 반하게 되었던 타이틀인 레고 인디아나 존스는
퍼즐이라는 요소가 정말 인디아나 존스라는 영화에 잘 어울렸기에
다른 모든 레고 시리즈를 찾아서 하도록 만들 정도로 재미있고 잘 만든 게임입니다.
이후, 감탄사 밖에 말하지 않던 캐릭터들에게 대사가 생기고
캐리비안의 해적에서는 단조로웠던 전투 부분이 대폭 즐거워지고
호빗에서는 기어이 오픈 월드라는 장르에까지 도달하면서 지금에 이르고 있습니다.
퍼즐, 코옵의 즐거움, 상쾌하고 편안한 게임성, 영화 시리즈 전편을 아우르는 거대한 볼륨까지,
겉보기로 인한 선입견으로 얕잡아 보고 플레이를 하지 않는 게이머는 있을 지언정
제대로 플레이해본 유저들은 다들 반하게 되는 레고 시리즈는
이제 많은 게이머들이 신작을 기다리는 거대 프랜차이즈가 되었습니다만 좀 더 기대받고 대접받아도 좋다는 느낌이 듭니다.
아이들과 하기에도 좋고, 커플이 하기에도 좋고, 열혈 게이머에게도 좋은 게임으로 첫 손에 꼽을만 하니까요.
