Bow Wow Leaving Cash Money To Return To Jermaine Dupri Is A Great Career Move

Whether you like it or not, Lil' Bow Wow has been a fixture in the hip-hop community for the past 15 years. his first big single was titled "Bounce With Me" in 2000 at the age of 13. Shortly thereafter, he moved into acting in movies, starting with 2002's Like Mike.

One would have assumed that Bow Wow’s music career would skyrocket after signing to Cash Money records, but it was quite the opposite. The Ohio native didn't release one album during his six year tenure with the label. Last week, Bow Wow announced he would be leaving Cash Money and begin to work again with his mentor, Jermaine Dupri. This may be the best decision Bow Wow has made with his music career in the past 5 years.

double platinum.“Let Me Hold You”“Like You”

Dupri has a great business mind and has the relationships to put an artist in position to flourish in the mainstream rap world. These two have already shown great synergy, so it’s not too far fetched to think they can do it again. I expect Bow Wow to crank out at least one big single before the end of 2015 and hit the ground running in 2016.
