Everyone knows "Old Man." But most only know it by its studio version on "Harvest Moon" - and that's a problem.
Above is the version from a live concert Young gave in 1971 in Massey Hall in Toronto. It's my favorite live album of all time: Young is totally candid throughout and actually introduces some of the songs that would go on to be his most famous. He starts off "Old Man" by explaining that it's a new song. And that's just so cool.
I really encourage you to check out the full Live at Massey Hall album. It's that good.
