While this idea is not new, it just shows that you can soften the gold of your flower girl flats by capping the toe in any color you choose that would reflect your wedding. The photo shows a soft pink, which is a popular wedding color. But don't forget about the other popular colors that we've seen this year:

To create your own capped flats, simple apply some painters tape below the area you will be painting. Best to use a leather paint for durability. However, if you are concerned about price and since it's just for one day, you can get away with the acrylic paint. Brush on the paint and let dry according to manufacturer instructions.
